![]() Four contestants - be they humans or AI drones - go from planet to planet, engaging in action-packed mini-games for fame and fortune. ![]() The plot is barely worthy of being on the back of an action figure box: Fuzion Frenzy is the galaxy's most-watched, most exciting game show. Its three saving graces are - in this order - its embracing of Xbox Live, the lack of competition, and its appeal for achievement whores. While most of us are living the next generation of consoles, Fuzion Frenzy 2 is essentially the same game that mediocred up the original Xbox five and a half years ago, just with a little coat of polish. Its removal of mascots and convoluted overworlds made it all about the mini-games, which at least provided a few shared smiles. However, Microsoft's Fuzion Frenzy sat atop the party-game heap for me back in 2001 - ahead of Mario Party, Sonic Shuffles, and the like. Inane, simplistic mini-games wrapped up in a flawed, unbalanced board-game interface aren't my idea of fun (Super Monkey Ball or Wario Ware don't count, by the way). ![]() Let it be known that I'm not a huge fan of party games.
